Gameplay

Try to survive in the time loop as much as possible, facing your enemy and your past selves

Use special weapons to permanently destroy your clones from the past

Prove to be the best agent in the online leaderboards

How to play

Every 10 seconds the time loop reset the game and you'll face a new  past self. Your mission is always to kill your enemy, which will allow you to go to the next loop. If for three loops (represented by the 3 green gems below the timer) you don't shoot your target, you fail the mission.
The game starts easy, but It gets challenging quite fast

You get points by killing the target (+5) and your past selves (+30). If you don't hit the enemy  within 10 seconds, you lose the points scored in the current loop.

Curiosities

The first version of Looper was made in 48h for the Ludum Dare 47 with the theme "Stuck in a Loop". That version was set during the prologue and included only that level. Agent C15 is still stuck in the time loop.

Disclaimer

The WebGL version of the game is meant for users who are not using a Windows machine. For the best experience and better performances, I would recommend downloading the Windows version instead.

(First level) Hey there's the guy! *shoots* *bullet misses him* *bounces off wall* *bounces off other wall* *hits me* Whoops. (this actually happened)

ha

Ah, the classic "shoot the wall and hit yourself in the face" situation. We've all been there. Don't worry, next time you'll get him for sure! That's the thing I love about this game, your greatest enemy is yourself. Hope you had fun!

holy shit forgot this existed

Hi, I'm glad there are still people who remember this game! Unfortunately, having too little free time, I have put development of the "final version" on hold for the time being. There are also good news though, I still plan to release an update with some new levels, and maybe some new features. This update will finally be available for mobile as well.
I can't give a release date yet, but I think it will be a few months.

Oh and there is also another game I'm working on in my spare time, a pixel art roguelike!

cool

still fun

Thank you, I'm glad you like the game! I decided to start working on a more complete version of the game, but it will take some time as I'm the only person working on the project (and not even full time). More shortly, I hope to release a mobile version, with some new level too. If you are interested, I also recommend you to join the small community  on reddit, I'll post some news there too.

I have done some research and it appears that free games cannot be made claimable. I suggest you add the game to a collection or follow me here on itch. I recommend it because I'll change the name of the game to "Interlooped" at the next update. The game is having a lot of positive feedback on socials and I have decided to start working on a more complete version of the game. I'll release a mobile version too. If you are interested, I also recommend you join the small community that was recently born on reddit, I'll give some news there too.

Very fun

Thank you!

really fun, agree on the screen shake thing

(+1)

Thank you! Do you mean that the magnitude of the screenshake is too high or you just prefer to be able to disable it?

(+1)

I think the ability to disable would probably be helpful. I keep coming back to try and beat that last level :P it's hard

(1 edit) (+1)

Maybe to be able to turn it into like two diagonal lines or something so you can still tell it's resetting. Edit: 398 score gah! lol

(+1)

I'm glad you're putting in so much effort to get that score. But I warn you that since there are no other levels (for now) after the that, once you pass the 400 nothing happens. You can, however, show off your great score on the leaderboard! Btw I'm "Frost" on the leaderboard. Can you even beat my score?

(+1)

Ok thanks, I'll add it in a small update within a couple of weeks.

really fun game. my only problem with it is that it can get a little bit confusing with the feedback, too many filters and gets hard to keep track of, really well executed, loved it.

Thanks for the feedback! In the next update I can add a more complete settings screen where you can disable screenshakes and post processing filters.
